FBI Agent Laura Daniels is finally getting used to a routine life. Laura was a fast rising star until she failed to solve the anthrax letter cases in 2001, shortly after 9/11. Her fall from grace landed her in FBI’s Seattle Field Office. Now the New York Terrorist cell responsible for those attacks is working on a new mission: to build and detonate a large dirty bomb on US soil.

When Laura is assigned to investigate the theft of low level radiation devices, the trail takes her to the site of Interex Corporation’s controversial oil and gas exploration well, where several large radiation sources were in use. She arrives to find the sources missing and most of the well drilling crew dying of an unknown virus. As the deadly virus mysteriously spreads to several nearby towns and the death toll climbs, the search for answers and the terrorists intensifies.
